newsUK firm Ashurst has hired Robert Child as a partner in its restructuring, insolvency and special situations practice in Singapore from Clifford Chance, where he practiced for more than a decade.

Child’s hire comes some months after project finance expert Andrew Roche joined Ashurst as a partner in Singapore from Latham & Watkins.

Child, who focuses on multi-jurisdictional restructurings and insolvencies, advises corporate debtors, syndicated lender groups, bondholders, distressed investor funds, insolvency officeholders, agents, and trustees.

Following the addition of Child, Ashurst now has 16 partners in Singapore.
