Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has hired banking and finance specialist Dominic Gregory as a partner in Singapore. Gregory earlier headed Ashurst's Tokyo office.
At BCLP, Gregory’s practice will span across Asia with focus on Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia. His 20 years of experience includes project finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, sovereign and export credit finance and restructurings, as well as asset, trade and structured finance.
Gregory joined Ashurst in Hong Kong in 2012 from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he was a counsel. He had a stint in the Singapore office, before moving to Ashurst’s Tokyo office in 2015.
BCLP currently has 15 partners and 55 other fee-earners across its Singapore, Hong Kong and China offices. Gregory is its first partner hire in the region after hospitality expert Koh Tien Gui joined in Singapore from Rajah & Tann in June last year.
In March, BCLP lost at least 10 lawyers in Shanghai to U.S. firm Crowell & Moring’s Shanghai office. Earlier, in November, the firm saw the departures of two partners in Hong Kong - Kristi Swartz, the managing partner of the legacy Bryan Cave’s Hong Kong office, and Nigel Binnersley.
