Malaysian law firm Rahmat Lim & Partners, Allen & Gledhill’s association firm, has hired tax lawyer Desmond Liew Zhi Hong as a partner from Andersen Global member firm Halim Hong & Quek.

With over a decade of experience in tax advisory and dispute resolution, Liew's practice focuses on advising corporations and high-net-worth individuals on direct and indirect tax matters related to restructuring, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. He also represents clients in tax disputes before Malaysian courts and regulatory bodies.

Prior to joining HHQ in 2022, Liew spent three years at Skrine. He previously worked at PwC Malaysia for four years as a tax consultant.

With Liew’s arrival, Rahmat Lim now has 33 partners.
