K&L Gates’ Singapore office has added funds specialist Ed Bennett as a partner in Singapore from Morgan Lewis Stamford.

Bennett is K&L Gates Straits Law’s second partner hire this year after Marius Time joined the firm as a corporate partner in February from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP).

Bennett advises on investment funds and corporate transactional matters including direct and co-investments by funds, private equity and M&A. Before joining Morgan Lewis Stamford in 2017, Bennett was at Ashurst for 17 years.

With Bennett’s arrival, K&L Gates Straits Law now has 13 partners.
