Singapore’s Dentons Rodyk and Vietnam’s Dentons LuatViet have advised Singapore-listed Thomson Medical Group (TMG) on its S$517 million ($381.4 million) acquisition of FV Hospital, Vietnam’s biggest healthcare group.

The deal is believed to be Vietnam’s largest healthcare deal, and the most significant healthcare acquisition in Southeast Asia since 2020. As FV Hospital is popular not just among Vietnamese patients, but also patients from Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia, the deal allows TMG access to these markets.

The Dentons LuatViet team was led by managing partner Tran Duy Canh, while senior partner Valerie Ong headed the Dentons Rodyk team.
