U.S. law firm Sidley Austin has represented infrastructure-focused private equity firm Stonepeak on its $650 million investment in Singapore-based green infrastructure investment firm AGP Sustainable Real Assets, which was advised by Clifford Chance.

AGP invests in, develops, and operates sustainable real assets across three key investment themes: Renewable energy, infrastructure and communities, and natural capital.

The investment from Stonepeak will accelerate the expansion of AGP's portfolio of renewable energy, social housing and logistics assets, the companies said in a joint statement.

The Sidley team was led by Asia M&A practice head Charlie Wilson and partner Parthiv Rishi in Singapore, with support from finance partner Raymond Oh in China and energy and infrastructure partner Tim Chandler in Houston.

Clifford Chance's cross-border team was co-led by partners Mark Currell in Sydney and Tom Lin in Singapore.

“This transaction highlights the increased investor interest in sustainable infrastructure and energy assets,” Currell said in a statement.
