Hoang Duong is a counsel at Vilaf and specialises in foreign investments, corporate and M&A, joint ventures, project finance, capital markets and antitrust.

During more than 13 year-career, some of Hoang’s high-profile transactions include J&T Express’ $500 million IPO, Moody’s joint venture in Vietnam, SCG Packaging’s $1.5 billion IPO, VPBank’s $1.0 billion EMTN, ThaiBev’s $4.8 billion acquisition of Sabeco, Vincom Retail, Techcombank and Vinhomes IPOs, Vinh Tan 1 $1.4billion project financing.

Hanh Hien Nguyen is a senior associate at Vilaf. She provides advice on banking and finance, capital markets, general corporate, M&A, energy, and project and infrastructure matters.

Nguyen has worked on several notable transactions, including advising HSBC in arranging a $150 million secured financing transaction to finance the Celadon City Project in Ho Chi Minh City and a $120 million secured financing transaction to finance the Gamuda Land Residential Project in Hanoi. She also advised China Development Bank in arranging a $600 million long-term loan facility to finance the development of Thang Long Thermal Power Plant, a 600MW power plant in Vietnam.

She is particularly proud of her role as the key senior associate in the sale of Goshawk Aviation to SMBC Aviation Capital. This transaction involved the transfer of the security interests and refinancing of multiple aircraft leased to different airlines in Vietnam, making SMBC the world’s second-largest aircraft lessor by the number of aircraft owned. Nguyen is also advising a BOT project company concerning the transfer of the Phu My Power Project back to the government on the expiration of the project’s 20-year term.
