Shobna Chandran

Shobna Chandran’s eponymous company commenced operations in October 2023. She has an exceptional academic record and was a Justices Law Clerk to the Chief Justice and the Court of Appeal bench until 2008. During her 15-year career, Chandran has worked with at least three senior counsels.

On the arbitration front, Chandran has spent her entire career in international arbitration, having handled arbitration matters worth billions of dollars. She is a current fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and has worked on cases involving telecommunications and pharmaceuticals to solar and renewable energy. Moreover, Shang represented the purchaser Solitaire Cecil, a joint venture managed by TE Capital Partners and LaSalle Investment Management, in the acquisition of the PIL Building along Cecil Street in Singapore.

One of Shang’s significant clients is developer EL Developments, which he represented in the acquisition of the Slim Barracks Rise Parcel A site from URA for S$320.1 million. The client will now redevelop the site into a mixed-use development with more than 260 residential units expected to be built.

Imran Rahim is one of the youngest lawyers in Singapore entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating the corporate restructuring and insolvency practice group for a law firm of Eldan Law’s size and standing.

Wang’s expertise extends to landmark cases, including the S$331.4 million acquisition of Innovalues, which was recognised as the Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association PE Deal of the Year 2017. She also played a pivotal role in the $2.5 billion worldwide restructuring of Pacific Andes Resources Development, which is a testament to her financial acumen.

In her role, Wang has advised prestigious clients such as Tuan Sing Holdings, TIH, SK ecoplant, and China Fishery Group. Her strategic counsel has facilitated transformative mergers, acquisitions, and investments, establishing her as a visionary leader in corporate law.

Ronald Wong started his legal career at one of the Big Four firms, where he focused on commercial litigation and arbitration.

Wong has had several successful highlights in his career, including representing an investment fund manager and a global bank in a claim against a foreign guarantor under a cross-border syndicated loan agreement.

He also successfully defended a fraud claim in misrepresentation, breach of contract and conspiracy involving a share option on behalf of a regulated fund management company and managing partner.

Moreover, Wong represented claimants in an SIAC arbitration involving breach of warranties and non-compete covenants arising from an acquisition of majority shareholding in a company, and successfully obtained emergency interim injunctive relief.

He has won several awards, including Top Pro Bono Volunteer 2020, Criminal Legal Aid Scheme--Law Society Pro Bono Services, and the Asia Business Law Journal 2019, A-List Singapore’s Top 100 Lawyers. He was also privileged to be awarded the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) Overseas Attachment Scholarship, during which he was a Secondee with South Square Chambers.
