Mehraab Nazir, a partner at Watson Farley & Williams’ Singapore office, lost his life following a rockslide accident while walking with his family in Australia’s Blue Mountains.

One of his sons also perished in the rockslide, according to news reports, while his wife and another son remain in critical condition. The couple also have a daughter who was unhurt.

Mehraab, 49, was a finance expert specialising in asset and project finance with a particular focus on the transportation, infrastructure, and offshore oil & gas sectors. He joined WFW in 2008.

It a statement posted on LinkedIn, the firm said, “We will be remembering and honouring Mehraab, however, with the surviving members of the family in serious conditions or in shock, we ask that you respect their privacy and grief at this incredibly difficult time.”
