Held at the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu, the event attracted over a hundred lawyers, corporate in-house counsel, executives, and legal professionals from the western region, who engaged in vibrant discussions on various hot topics. The forum officially commenced at 1:30 PM. Three partners from Tahota Law Firm, Zeng Xiangkun, Mei Yingxue, and Nie Ying, began by discussing intellectual property issues related to the listing of technology innovation enterprises under strict regulatory conditions. Zeng focused on IP risk assessment and contingency plans before listing, Mei covered IP inquiries during the listing process, and Nie shared strategies for handling IP litigation during listing. Following this, Zhou Wei, Deputy Director of Baijus Law Firm, and Cao Jinling, Deputy Director of Baijus’ Chengdu Office, addressed compliance in the digital economy and data assets. Zhou highlighted that data assets represent a new type of property right, with practices in data asset recording and transactions underway. Cao elaborated on the regulatory framework for data asset compliance under cybersecurity and data security laws, including data export security assessments. After a break, the third session, led by four lawyers from ZHH Law Firm, delved into complex issues in the bankruptcy reorganization of real estate enterprises. Senior Partner Zhang Yong introduced the necessity for large, capable legal teams in real estate bankruptcy projects, noting strict court assessments of managers. Hu Jun discussed two reorganization models: continuation and sale. Song Tao shared insights from the Shangshe Runwu case from the perspective of bankruptcy reorganization for property delivery. Wang Fei then provided the investors’ viewpoint on bankruptcy projects. They shared their experiences and practices on how compliance empowers cost reduction and efficiency, data compliance in fintech, criminal compliance services for enterprises, and overseas compliance.
