40 ASIAN LEGAL BUSINESS CHINA • 亚洲法律杂志-中国版 JANUARY 2024 On December 8, 2023, the prestigious Regional Law Awards 2023: South China & Central China were ceremoniously held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Shenzhen. This event marked the second year that ALB has successfully hosted this distinguished regional award. Notably, it was the first time the ceremony took place in the innovative and technologically advanced city of Shenzhen. The final winners of the 2023 awards were announced that evening. The awards featured 28 categories, with 30 law firms and 4 corporate legal teams being honored. Among the law firms, 14 local brands and 15 non-local brands won awards, showing a balanced display of strength in the South and Central China regions. China Commercial Law Firm was the biggest winner of the night, taking home 5 awards, followed by King & Wood Mallesons with 4 awards. Additionally, 8 other law firms each won two awards.
