30 ASIAN LEGAL BUSINESS CHINA • 亚洲法律杂志-中国版 JULY 2024 ALB CHINA DISPUTE RESOLUTION FORUM 2024 On June 21, the inaugural ALB China Dispute Resolution Forum 2024 was successfully held at the Westin Hotel in Shanghai. The market-leading forum brought together over a hundred professionals from law firms and corporate in-house teams. More than ten speakers and panelists engaged in in-depth sharing and discussions on hot topics such as corporate dispute resolution risk prevention, amendments to the Company Law, corporate nonperforming debts, corporate restructuring, and corporate legal practices. The forum officially began at 9:15 AM. The morning session started with the first major discussion panel on “Experience in Resolution of Business Disputes and Relevant Precautions Sharing Experience in Resolution of Business Disputes and Relevant Precautions Sharing.” It was moderated by Wang Yongjie, director of bankruptcy management business centre, Joint-Win Law Firm. The panelists included Xue Yizhong, legal director at Zimmer Biomet; Zhang Ran, general counsel at Hilong Group of Companies; and Zhao Li, deputy general manager of legal & compliance department at Chenxi Investment. Following the panel, Wu Liangjun, senior partner at W&H Law Firm, delivered a keynote speech on “Study on Resolution of Business Disputes from Perspective of the Revised Company Law.” During the tea break, attendees engaged in lively exchanges with the speakers. The afternoon session began with a sharing led by three partners from Boss & Young Attorneys-At-Law: Chen Peng, Xia Xiaoping, and Yang Wenjun. They shared insights on the topic “The Restructuring in Real Estate Industry.” Chen Peng first introduced the significance of bringing in restructuring investors, focusing on their role and impact. Xia Xiaoping then discussed specific models, advantages, and risks of restructuring for debt relief. Following the insightful sharing, the forum welcomed its second panel discussion. Moderated by Du Aiwu, director of Boss & Young Attorneys-at-Law, the panel welcomed Nora Hu, legal director of onsemi, and Zhao Li, deputy general manager of legal & compliance department at Chenxi Investment. They together discussed “Current Corporate Legal Practice from the perspective of Dispute Resolution Cases.” The 2024 ALB China Dispute Resolution Forum concluded successfully amidst enthusiastic applause from the attendees.
