32 ASIAN LEGAL BUSINESS CHINA • 亚洲法律杂志-中国版 JULY 2024 On May 23, 2024, the 21st annual ALB China Law Awards ceremony took place at Rosewood Beijing, with a record-breaking attendance of over 230 elite figures from China’s legal and business communities, making it a night to remember. 44 awards were presented during this unforgettable night. In the domestic law firm category, Han Kun Law Offices emerged as the biggest winner, taking home six awards, including the China Dealmaker of the Year award for Charles Li. Jingtian & Gongcheng and Zhong Lun Law Firm each received five awards, with Jingtian & Gongcheng’s Zhao Yang winning Managing Partner of the Year, and Zhong Lun receiving the prestigious China Law Firm of the Year award. Additionally, King & Wood Mallesons received four awards, while Commerce & Finance Law Offices and Global Law Office each took home two awards. In the international law firm category, Clifford Chance led the pack with six awards, including the International Dealmaker of the Year award for Tim Wang, the Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year award for Shi Lei, and the International Law Firm of the Year award. Offshore law firm Harneys won three awards for their exceptional performance. Latham & Watkins and Cooley each received two awards. The in-house awards saw 10 teams and individuals honored.
