This is what Yang Xun has been thinking about. “IP lawyers need to position ourselves as commercial lawyers who can understand business logic and industry practices, so that we can help corporate clients achieve their business objectives with lower cost of communication.” Che Xiaoyan has observed that “some enterprises had no IPR roles (corporate IPR consultants) in the beginning, so high costs were incurred when external lawyers had to communicate with technical staff. Clients are advised to recruit IPR professionals, making it easier for external IP lawyers to move things forward.
