Hong Kong law firm Deacons has hired corporate specialist Mark Stevens as a partner from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

Stevens joined the pre-merger Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2018 from Mayer Brown (then Mayer Brown JSM), where he spent almost 19 years.

With more than three decades of experience, Stevens advises on inbound and outbound M&A, joint venture, private equity, logistics, trading, sourcing, retail, fast moving consumer goods, real estate, hospitality, e-commerce, publishing and natural resources. His clients include listed and private entities, private equity funds, public utilities and statutory bodies. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Stevens worked at Eversheds in the UK..

Deacons now has 55 partners Hong Kong office. They include corporate finance specialist Erica Wong and family law expert Sherlynn Chan, who joined last year from Ogier and Stevenson, Wong & Co, respectively.
