Hunton Andrews Kurth has hired energy and infrastructure expert Kristian Bradshaw as a partner in Tokyo from White & Case, where he was a local partner, Bradshaw announced in a LinkedIn post.

He will become Hunton Andrews Kurth’s only partner in Tokyo after the departure of Sean Conaty to Nishimura & Asahi in May.

With over 15 years of experience in the Japanese market, Bradshaw’s expertise spans the energy spectrum, including LNG, hydrogen/ammonia, CCS, solar, wind, geothermal, and cleantech matters.

He has advised clients on the acquisition, development, financing, and sale of projects and businesses in the global energy sector, including structuring and negotiating bespoke offtake arrangements for LNG and hydrogen/ammonia.

Bradshaw joined White & Case in 2022 from Japanese energy major INPEX. He previously worked at the legacy Allen & Overy, Ashurst, and Herbert Smith Freehills.

His most recent work includes advising Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. (JAPEX) on the acquisition through its U.S. subsidiary of an equity interest in Gulf Coast LNG Holdings from JERA Americas for approximately $380 million.
