The Hong Kong office of Beijing-headquartered DeHeng Law Offices has made its second partner hire in a matter of weeks after bringing on board corporate expert Samuel Ng from U.S. outfit Paul Hastings.

In October, DeHeng hired disputes lawyer Stan Cheung as a partner from RPC, where he was a senior associate.

Ng focuses on corporate finance and securities matters, including securities offerings, M&A, corporate restructurings, private equity investments, corporate transactions in both Hong Kong and Mainland China, as well as regulatory and compliance matters for Hong Kong-listed companies.

He previously worked as a securities market regulator with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to handle IPOs and listing applications as well as ongoing and transactional compliance of listed companies. Ng joined Paul Hastings from Morrison Foerster in 2018.

With Ng’s arrival, DeHeng Hong Kong now has 14 partners. The firm officially combined with Chungs Lawyers in March this year following a three-year association.
