Singapore law firm Dentons Rodyk has welcomed back disputes partner Alexander Lee. His most recent role was director at Drew & Napier.

Lee becomes Dentons Rodyk’s fourth partner hire of 2023. The firm brought back finance partner Lee Mee Kin and corporate partner Eunice Yao and added disputes partner Senthil Dayalan from local law firm Sim Chong earlier this year. Last July, the firm brought back three partners from Atlas Asia Law Corporation, EY’s Singapore law firm.

Lee, who was a partner at Dentons Rodyk for two years before joining Drew & Napier in 2021, has more than a decade of experience in complex commercial matters, particularly in shareholder, banking and insolvency, energy and real estate disputes.

He has represented state-owned entities, high net-worth individuals, key managing personnel at companies, investment banking company UBS in commercial disputes and many banks on sanctions-related disputes. He successfully defended Douglas Foo, the chairman of Singapore-based Sakae Holdings, which resulted in leading decisions on minority oppression and directors’ duties.

In 2022, Lee was named as one of ALB’s Singapore Rising Stars.

Dentons Rodyk now has 93 partners in Singapore.

Drew & Napier recently lost disputes director Paras Lalwani, who joined Bayfront Law as its international arbitration head.
