Mayer Brown JSM has welcomed Conor Warde as a partner in its banking and finance practice in Hong Kong from Clyde & Co.

At his former firm, Warde led the ship finance and transactional practice. He has been advising on ship finance and maritime transactions for over than a decade, and has acted on a broad range of corporate finance and investment issues.

Before joining Clyde & Co in 2013, Warde was a counsel in the Washington, D.C., and Hong Kong offices of U.S. firm Blank Rome.

After hiring Robert Woll in January from local firm Deacons, Mayer Brown’s Hong Kong office has lost Andrew MacGeoch to Berwin Leighton Paisner in May, and Jonathan Mok to Charles Russell Speechlys in last month, which recently set up shop in the city.
