India’s HSA Advocates has appointed Gaurav Sahay as a partner in the firm’s corporate and M&A practice in the southern city of Bengaluru from Kochhar & Co.

Sahay’s appointment comes days after HSA lost 12 lawyers, including six partners, to DSK Legal. Among those leaving the firm was partner Sharath Chandrasekhar in Bengaluru.

The departures to DSK, coupled with the loss of eight lawyers to IndusLaw and three to Argus Partners, means that HSA currently has 17 partners nationally, including Sahay.

Sahay has over 13 years of experience in advising various domestic and multinational clients on various legal issues including corporate and commercial laws, antitrust/ competition, intellectual property, securities, insurance and environmental laws. He also focuses on technology-related transactions.
