Offshore law firm Walkers has added Tom Pugh as a partner in Hong Kong from Mayer Brown.

Having spent nearly 15 years in Hong Kong, Pugh handles large-scale cross-border liquidations and restructuring matters, and advises insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors.

“The cross-jurisdictional challenges arising from application of onshore and offshore law in cross-border structures is becoming increasingly complex,” said Pugh in a statement from Walkers. “Clients will benefit from a team that has a depth of experience across a wide spectrum and an understanding of the available insolvency and restructuring options."

Pugh’s arrival means Walkers now has 17 partners in Hong Kong. Four of them were recently feted among ALB Asia's Top 15 Offshore Litigators.
