U.S firm Cooley has boosted its capital markets practice with the hire of Tim Pitrelli as a partner in the firm’s Singapore office from Goldman Sachs, where he served as a Singapore-based executive director and senior counsel in the investment banking division.

Pitrelli, who moved from the U.S. in early 2008, focuses on IPOs, follow‐on offerings and other transactions involving issuers with operations in Southeast Asia, China, Hong Kong and India.

Prior to his stint at Goldman, Pitrelli worked at Bank of America and Latham & Watkins.

Launched in January 2020, Cooley’s Singapore office currently has four partners, including investment funds expert Sean Murphy, who joined from Shearman & Sterling early last year.
