Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has recruited tax lawyer Rohit Garg as a partner in Delhi from DMD Advocates.

With about 15 years of experience, Garg advises clients in the sectors such as oil and natural gas, automotive, IT, manufacturing, steel and power, charitable trusts, education, housing and infrastructure, telecom on tax compliance, preparation of tax documents and appellate proceedings of tax matters. He appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Income Tax Appellate Tribunals, and other income tax authorities and forums.

Garg joined DMD in 2017, prior to which he was at corporate and tax boutique Vaish Associates Advocates for nearly a decade.

SAM now has 100 partners in Delhi. The office recently lost banking partner Pritha Chatterjee to IndusLaw.
