Magic Circle firm Linklaters has recruited international arbitration specialist Andrew Battisson as a partner in Singapore from Norton Rose Fulbright.

With over two decades of experience, Battisson represents clients before arbitration institutions, including Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Singapore International Commercial Court. He also advises clients on related enforcement and transnational litigation. He joined Norton Rose Fulbright in 2018, having previously been a partner at Allen & Overy.

Battisson becomes Linklaters’ most recent lateral partner hire this year. The firm hired Roger Cheng from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in June and welcomed M&A lawyer Yoshiyuki Asaoka in Tokyo from Nishimura & Asahi in May.  In April, it added leveraged finance expert Rahul Chatterji from Shearman & Sterling in London; Chatterji is expected to relocate to Singapore later in the year.

With Battisson’s arrival, Linklaters now has 23 partners in Singapore. His departure from NRF marks the second exit from that firm’s Singapore office this year after Stacy Kramer in February.
