U.S. law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has advised PE fund CVC Capital Partners on the establishment of its sixth Asia fund, CVC Capital Partners Asia VI, which raised $6.8 billion.

This is CVC’s biggest Asian Fund and 50 percent larger than its predecessor, $4.5 billion CVC Capital Partners Asia V, Reuters reported. STB also advised CVC on that fund, which was established in 2020.

The STB team was led by partners Dan Lloyd and Gareth Earl.

Indian law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. and international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills have advised Jubilant Bhartia Group on its agreement with The Coca-Cola Company to acquire a 40 percent stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings for over $1 billion.
