Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul has grown its restructuring and insolvency practice with the hire of Lye Yu Min as a partner from Rajah & Tann, where he was a senior associate.

Lye's experience in insolvency matters spans contentious and non-contentious debtor- and creditor-side engagements. He joined Rajah & Tann in 2018 after beginning his career at Allen & Gledhill.

"We are excited to expand our practice area and welcome Yu Min to our team. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our clients in this ever-evolving global economy and to provide them with exceptional legal solutions," said Keith Han, head of Oon & Bazul’s R&I practice, in a statement.

Added the firm's managing partner, Bazul Ashhab: “Cross-border restructuring and insolvency is one of the most rapidly expanding areas in the Singapore legal industry, and this strategic hire will not only enhance the firm's capabilities but will also reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services in this critically growing sector.”

This hire represents the first significant addition to Oon & Bazul's partnership since tax partner Ma HanFeng joined from Taxise Asia in June last year.
