OUR RESEARCH

  • The research covers the period spanning from July 2024 to June 2025, and includes both ongoing work and matters that were closed within this timeframe.
  • ALB will compile the results from firm submissions, Thomson Reuters M&A data, interviews, editorial resources, and market suggestions to identify and rank the top firms for M&A in Asia. Interviews will be conducted only if needed.
  • The rankings will be divided into tiers, with the first tier recognising the strongest M&A firms in each jurisdiction.
  • The jurisdictions covered in the rankings include: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Please note that there will be no Asia-wide table.
  • Both domestic and international firms will be included in the rankings. Separate tables will be created for domestic firms and international firms in the following jurisdictions: China, Japan, and South Korea.
  • Our research does not cover Australia and New Zealand.

For detailed information on the research methodology for the M&A ranking, please see [HERE].
