Bangkok-headquartered law firm Silk Legal has established an office in Dubai, the UAE, that aims to focus on new technologies like fintech, Web3, and artificial intelligence.

The new office, Silk Legal’s overseas outpost after New York, will also provide support to clients on corporate and commercial law. It will be led by Silk Legal’s founder and managing partner, Jason Corbett (L), along with senior counsel Gabriel Khoury, who specializes in technology and banking/finance.

Khoury joined Silk Legal in 2022. He has worked for both law firms and financial institutions, including as general counsel and head of compliance of SHUAA Capital, an asset management and investment banking platform service provider in the UAE.

Silk Legal, which was recognised as ALB’s one of Asia’s fastest-growing law firms last year, also has an office in Phuket.
