Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow has strengthened its capital markets practice with the hire of Chen Yih Pong as a principal in Singapore.

Pong joins Baker & McKenzie from WongPartnership in Singapore, where he was a partner in the firm’s capital markets group.

Pong specialises in corporate finance and capital market transactions including initial public offerings, share placements and rights issues. He also advises Singapore-listed companies on fund raisings and compliance matters related to listing requirements.

Pong is the second hire for Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow this month, after disputes partner Nandakumar Ponniya joined the firm from White & Case last week.
