Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow has recruited Nandakumar Ponniya from White & Case as a principal in Singapore.

Ponniya was a partner in White & Case’s international arbitration group, where he focused on oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and construction law matters.

He has advised on disputes across Southeast Asia and China, and also handles international trade and cross-border disputes, as well as corporate restructuring and insolvency matters.

“With the emergence of Singapore as a leading arbitration hub, we are seeing a steady rise in the number and complexity of international disputes,” said Chan Leng Sun SC, Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow’s Singapore dispute resolution practice head and Asia-Pacific international arbitration head, in a statement.
