India’s largest firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has hired corporate and TMT specialist Sameer Chugh as a partner in Delhi from Bharti Enterprises, where he was group general counsel.

Chugh, who specialises in cross-border M&A transactions, took on his current role at Bharti Enterprises in 2019, having worked as a legal director at telecom subsidiary Airtel since 2014.

After starting his career at Kochhar & Co, Chugh had been in in-house roles since 2001 with companies such as Cummins India, Essar and BT Group.

Following Chugh's departure, Bharti has named Vidyut Gulati, who joined the company in 2017, as general counsel.
