India’s Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Arushi Jain in Mumbai as partner and head of its media, education and gaming practice from Nishith Desai Associates (NDA).

Jain worked with NDA for about 13 years and led the firm’s intellectual property (IP) and education practice. She advises clients in industries spanning media, technology, education, gaming, and new tech. Her expertise includes strategic legal issues, cross-border matters, legal and regulatory compliance, documentation, negotiations, deal-making, legal risk analysis, pre-litigation, policy, and IP.

She becomes CAM’s third partner this year. The firm added dispute resolution expert Abhileen Chaturvedi from Economic Laws Practice and real estate expert Siddharth Hariani from Phoenix Legal in January, with both also joining in Mumbai. CAM now has 66 partners in that city.
