Capital markets partner Jon Gray has left Linklaters in Hong Kong and is set to join Davis Polk & Wardwell. 

Davis Polk confirmed that Gray will be joining the firm’s Tokyo office soon, but did not specify an exact date.

A capital markets specialist, Gray represents companies and financial institutions on high-yield debt offerings, IPOs and restructuring matters. In 2014, he advised on Seibu Holdings’ $438 million IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Gray joined Linklaters in 2005 as a counsel in the firm’s New York office. He became a partner in 2007, and relocated to the firm’s Hong Kong office in 2009. Before Linklaters, Gray was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
