International law firm Clyde & Co has promoted six senior associates and legal directors to partnership across the Gulf region, bringing its regional partner count to 30. The promotions have come into effect from May 1.

Richard Bell and Nassif Boumalhab were promoted to partner positions in the firm’s UAE dispute resolution practice. Bell will be based in Abu Dhabi, while Boumalhab will be based in Dubai. Sara Khoja, who is partner in the employment practice, and Oliver Tebbit, who is aviation finance partner at the firm, will also be based in Dubai.

Additionally, the firm has promoted Laura Warren and Ben Cowling to its construction, projects and infrastructure practice. Warren will be based in Doha and Cowling, who is currently based in Dubai, will relocate to bolster Clyde & Co’s practice in Riyadh.

“These promotions are not only a testament to the quality of the individuals elected, but also to the broader partnership in the Middle East for helping to create an environment that encourages the regional development and promotion of new internal partners," said Chris Mills, Middle East board member of the firm.

The appointments are part of a global round of 14 partner promotions, which have taken Clyde & Co’s global partner count to 286. ALB
