Clyde & Co has announced several management changes to its Asia Pacific operations, including naming its current Hong Kong managing partner as the new head of its Singapore office, and appointing a new managing director for Asia.

The firm has added Hong Kong partners Gloria Jones and Simon McConnell to its Asia Pacific Management Board, with McConnell also set to become the new managing partner for Hong Kong.

McConnell, who has been with the firm since 2012, is replacing Michael Parker, the incoming managing partner of the Singapore office. Parker, in turn, replaces Brian Nash, the current Singapore managing partner. Nash will remain with the firm as a consultant for the firm.

In addition, Ik Wei Chong, who heads Clyde’s shipping, insurance and dispute resolution practice in China, has been appointed managing director for Asia. He is expected to combine his roles on the Asia-Pacific and global management boards and continue driving the development of the mainland China practice as well as the firm's regional marine practice.

All changes are set to take effect May 1.
