Clyde & Co has hired Gerald Yee as partner in its Asia-Pacific marine practice in Singapore from Colin Ng & Partners, where he headed that firm’s admiralty and shipping group.

Yee will concurrently be a director with Clasis LLC, Clyde’s Singapore joint law venture.

With a practice comprising contentious and non-contentious matters for clients in the marine industry, Yee will be involved in developing the firm's regional marine practice. He will also represent clients in Singapore courts through his role at Clasis.

“Gerald combines a strong blend of domestic understanding and international perspective,” said Brian Nash, managing partner of Clyde & Co Clasis Singapore, in a statement. “His skills and experience are an excellent fit for our existing practice, and we believe that he will make a significant contribution to further developing the firm's marine practice locally and internationally."

Yee’s arrival takes the total number of partners at the Singapore office to 12.
