Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Manisha Kumar and Gautam Gandotra as partners from J. Sagar Associates in Mumbai, and projects specialist Ajay Sawhney as a partner in New Delhi from Krishnamurthy & Co. (K Law).

Kumar has worked as transactional counsel in law firms for more than a decade. She specializes in cross-border private equity investments, mergers & acquisitions and also has experience in investment restructuring and securities law advisory.

Gandotra specializes in private equity investments and mergers & acquisitions and has experience in acquisition transactions including private equity, strategic investments, foreign investments in India and joint ventures.

Sawhney has more than 13 years of experience across structuring, negotiating and finalizing commercial documents in connection with privatizations, infrastructure projects and project financing.

Additionally, Cyril Amarchand has promoted three partners: Anand Jayachandran (general corporate), Bharat Budholia (competition law) and Hiral Motta (real estate). Additionally, it has named Aditya Mehta (dispute resolution and Prerak Ved (general corporate) as partners designate.
