Davis Polk & Wardwell has welcomed Patrick Sinclair as a litigation partner in Hong Kong from Ropes & Gray.
In his new role, Sinclair is expected to focus on white-collar criminal defense matters as well as government and internal investigations.
He joined Ropes in 2014 as a partner in its government enforcement group in Hong Kong. Prior to this, Sinclair served as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he was also appointed as the general crimes section’s deputy chief in 2013.
Sinclair is the latest addition to Davis Polk’s growing Hong Kong litigation practice, which was launched by partners Martin Rogers and James Wadham in 2013. At present, the firm has 23 lawyers in its litigation practice in Hong Kong, according to its website.
