Economic Laws Practice (ELP), which recently lost IP partner Tushar Chawla to ALMT Legal and competition expert Samir Gandhi to AZB & Partners, has doubled its equity pool with the promotions of Tarun Gulati, Rohit Jain, Nishant Shah and Naresh Thacker.
Jain and Shah will head the tax team in Mumbai, while Thacker and Gulati will head litigation in Mumbai and New Delhi respectively. They join firm co-founders Vikram Nankani, Suhail Naithani, Sujjain Talwar and managing partner Rohan Shah as equity partners.
“This set of promotions is a tribute to the quality of professionals at ELP. Each of the individuals who have been promoted is an outstanding professional widely acknowledged for his legal and commercial acumen,” said Rohan Shah in a statement. “The growth in the size of the partnership is a reflection of the growth and ambitions of ELP.”
