Dentons has hired capital markets expert Alex Roussos as a partner in Dubai from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was of counsel.

Roussos, who was previously with Clifford Chance in London and Dubai, focuses on debt, hybrid and equity-linked capital markets transactions. He has experience advising governments and government-related entities, investment banks and corporate entities across the region on matters including MTN, convertible bond, regulatory capital and Sukuk issuances, as well as listings on stock exchanges.

“Alex's hire is a part of the firm's strategic plan to grow our capital markets practice in the region,” said David Cohen, head of Debt Capital Markets at Dentons, in a statement.

Dentons recently promoted three associates to partnership. Rajan Phakey (energy), Catherine Beckett (corporate) and Sadaf Buchanan (banking and finance) were promoted in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat respectively.
