Dentons has hired capital markets specialist Alex Roussos as a partner in Dubai from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Roussos, an expert in debt, hybrid, and equity-linked capital market transactions, has experience advising clients on MTN, convertible bond, regulatory capital, sukuk issuances, and listings on local and international stock exchanges. He previously worked for Clifford Chance in London and Dubai.

“Alex’s hire is a part of the firm’s strategic plan to grow our capital markets practice in the region,” said David Cohen, Dentons’ head of debt capital markets in London, in a statement.

Dentons recently also promoted three associates to partnership in the Middle East. Rajan Phakey (Energy), Catherine Beckett (Corporate) and Sadaf Buchanan (Banking and Finance) were promoted in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat respectively.
