She becomes DLA Piper’s second M&A partner hire in Asia this year. In January, the firm welcomed Xin Fang as a partner in Hong Kong from Mayer Brown.

Thananan advises financial institutions on banking and financial regulatory matters covering from M&A to asset management, corporate and debt restructuring, joint ventures, private equity, and capital markets transactions. She joined Baker McKenzie in 1998, becoming a partner in 2011.

DLA Piper now has seven partners in Bangkok.
