DLA Piper has hired finance and projects partner Matthias Schemuth from Ashurst in Hong Kong.

Schemuth, whose work focuses on the oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, metal and mining sectors, has over 20 years of experience advising sponsors, developers, commercial banks, multilateral lending agencies and export credit agencies in relation to project and export credit finance transactions. 

His practice also covers international banking, commodity and trade structured finance and asset finance and leasing in emerging markets.

Prior to joining Ashurst in 2008, he was a partner at White & Case for two years.
