DLA Piper has moved partner Trevor Butcher from London to Dubai and named him its new head of finance and projects in the Middle East.
Butcher has particular experience in the transport and infrastructure sectors, where he has advised on a number of PPP projects, including the Nottingham Tram project, the Canada Line rapid transit project in Vancouver, and the R1 highway project in Slovakia.
Butcher has also advised on energy projects in both the conventional and renewables sectors, including the Mesaieed A IPP in Qatar, the Fujeij wind project in Jordan, the East-West Interconnector between Ireland and Great Britain, and the Don Valley Power Carbon Capture and Storage Project in Europe.
