Thai law firm Chandler MHM has hired corporate lawyer Arkrapol Pichedvanichok as a senior partner and co-head of its mergers and acquisitions practice. Akrapol was a partner at Allen & Overy's Bangkok office until 2015.

Arkrapol’s expertise lies in corporate/M&A and capital markets, with a focus on joint ventures, domestic and international equity capital markets transactions. His clients span the energy and natural resources, real estate, automotive and manufacturing sectors.

Among Arkrapol’s clients is Thai state-owned listed oil and gas company PTT Group, which he has advised on transactions including the strategic sale of Bangchak shares, the amalgamation of PTT Chemical PCL and PTT Aromatics and Refining PCL, and Thai Oil’s joint venture with Mitsui. He has also represented corporate issuers and Thai and international underwriters for IPOs and listings of Thai companies.

This January, Chandler MHM hired four lawyers from Clifford Chance’s Bangkok office including partner Joseph Tisuthiwongse.
