Advisory firm FTI Consulting has added Sophie Lenox as a senior legal counsel in its Asia-Pacific team in Singapore from Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), where she worked for more than 16 years.

Lenox, who is FTI’s first legal counsel in the APAC region, has experience advising clients on cross-border M&A transactions, joint venture arrangements and corporate governance issues. She began her legal career in 2005, and relocated from London to Singapore in 2018.

Her hire come some months after FTI added forensic investigations expert Rachel Layburn as a senior managing director in Singapore.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
