UAE law firm Hadef & Partners has hired former Clifford Chance finance partner Caroline O’Hare as partner and head of its financial services and regulatory practice. O’Hare will be advising on major regional banking and finance transactions.

O’Hare was previously the partner-in-charge of Clifford Chance’s Gulf finance practice and has previously worked for law firms like Conyers Dill & Pearman, Applebys, Norton Rose, and Pinsent Masons in locations including London, Moscow, Budapest, Bermuda, and Cayman Islands. O’Hare, who will be a member of the firm’s banking and finance team, will be working out of Hadef’s Dubai office.

“Caroline is a heavyweight banking lawyer, and well versed in the demands of the UAE and regional market. She has solid experience in advising on conventional and Islamic finance transactions across the region and specifically within the UAE, and we think she will be a great asset to the firm,” said Alan Rodgers, head of Hadef’s banking and finance team in Dubai. “Caroline’s appointment strengthens our existing banking and finance team, and expands our offering in the financial sector.” ALB
