Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired William Hay as senior counsel in its Hong Kong office from Baring Private Equity Asia, where he served as general counsel.

During his time at Baring, Hay handled legal matters concerning the firm as well as the $10 billion under its management including the evaluation, completion, management, fund raising and exit of portfolio investments.  

Prior to joining Baring, Hay served as general counsel of Colony Capital Asia Pacific, a global real estate private equity firm, as well as general counsel of GE Capital Asia Pacific.
