DLA Piper has welcomed back real estate Ed Sheremeta as a partner from Ropes & Gray, where he spent nearly six years.

Sheremeta originally joined DLA Piper in Hong Kong in 2013 from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and moved to Ropes and Gray in January 2015.

His practice focuses on acquisitions and dispositions, private equity and institutional investments and joint ventures, among other areas.

Sheremeta had earlier worked in Canada, Japan and Mainland China. His previous firms include Japan’s Atsumi & Sakai and Canada’s McCarthy Tétrault, and he also had an in-house stint with Morgan Stanley.
