Deacons, Hong Kong’s largest local law firm, has welcomed back regulatory specialist Isabella Wong as a partner in Hong Kong from investment management company PIMCO, where she was a senior legal counsel.

With more than two decades of experience, Wong advises financial institutions on regulatory matters including dealing with Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in cases such as licensing and compliance.

Wong’s first stint at Deacons was from 2013 to 2022. Prior to that, she worked for the SFC - participating in policy drafting and consultation work in relation to new regulatory regimes – and Sidley Austin.

With Wong’s arrival, Deacons now has 57 partners.
